The Mixtape Street Team is a venture to increase the on ground reach of upcoming shows with Mixtape artists, tours, and nights in Mumbai, Pune, New Delhi, and Bangalore.
The current Mixtape roster includes Bhayanak Maut, Donn Bhat + Passenger Revelator, Frame/Frame, Indus Creed, Monica Dogra, OX7GEN, Scribe, Sky Rabbit, and Whirling Kalapas who regularly tour the country every year. In 2014-15, Mixtape Touring took acts like Skyharbor, Success (France), Rodney Branigan (UK), Teddy Boy Kill, and Sapta on countrywide tours that included major music festivals as well as clubs.
The Mixtape Street Team aims to increase awareness as well as curiosity amongst like minded individuals by extensive on ground postering and personal communication methods in social gathering areas for the urban youth.
The internship being offered is of a minimum 6-month duration and interns will need to set aside 8-10 hours per week towards completing tasks.
Through this internship we also want to give students an opportunity to get real world experience of the Independent Music Industry in India, while spreading the word about, and working with some of their favourite artists.
