Scribe fan gifts website to the band

In a very surprising event, one of the fans of SCRIBE created a website for the band.
Roycin Dsouza, Scribe’s fan from Mumbai Quotes ” This is a gift for all the wowsomeness.”

The band is really glad and very happy to see such a great effort from him. Everyone at SCRIBE : Vishwesh, Prashant, Akshay, Vaas, Viru, Shadaab, Kuber, Naveen, Sohail thank Roycin Dsouza for such a brilliant gift in 2011.

Here is what Roycin had to say on his note on facebook:

Dushtaa. Rakshasaa. Mark kidhar hai?

This isn’t really a note. Just something I had in mind, something I wanted to do and something that is going to make me happy. And Hungry, yes. I’m at the Blue Frog Studios and Kadman is sitting in front of me having no idea as to what I’m doing. Haha xD

2010 was an awesome year. I couldn’t ask for anything more awesome-er. Goa, Break up with the Girlfriend, Twitter, Nishi, Dubai, Meeting some awesome people, Photography , Burger N Beer, Blue Frog, Metal Nights, I-Rock, NH7, GIR, Rockfort, I can go on and on.

There’s this one band I had been listening to for quite some time – Scribe.

I used to have a small band earlier in 2008. We used to play Symphonic Metal. We Jammed a lot but for some reason, we never took off. Members moved to different countries to pursue higher education and I was just left in Bombay doing nothing… 18 year old, confused, I kinda gave up playing music. Left Science after 12th Grade, and took up commerce.

Did nothing productive in the First year. I happened to meet Mohnish Nagpal and Sandeep Bali, two really awesome people. Sandeep lent me his camera in May 2010 to shoot a few gigs and I just got hooked on to it. He still lends me his camera to shoot Metal Gigs. I always loved attending & shooting gigs, but I never had an SLR camera to give me exactly what I wanted. I still don’t have one and I hope I get one soon.
There, I started doing something I never thought I would ever stick to for so long.

Thanks to them and all the web knowledge they gave me, I got my website up early last year but never updated it post September cause I got really busy shooting gigs. Got a Job at the Frog too. Thanks to Monisha for her camera. I still shoot all the Non Metal gigs with it.

2 Weeks ago, I deleted my previous website to create a new one – A much better, straight forward and interactive website. I’ve started putting things together and it should be out soon.

Now, getting back to what made me type this – Scribe.

One of the most brilliant bands to come out of this country. Their album Mark of Teja just proved how much potential they have. They scored a couple of international gigs, opened for Lamb Of God ( which I missed ) and played some really good shows. I happened to watch them like 6-7 times live in the year 2010 itself. And they never fail to entertain me. Happened to shoot them most of the times and hang out with them too. Bought the Album, paid entry at almost all their gigs, put up photos, and what not.

But there was something that I always wanted to do to give back. So one random day, I just googled Scribe and noticed they didn’t have a website. And instead of pointing it out, this is what I did =D

Ladies and Gentlemen, here it is http://scribecore.in/

A page describing the band, what they play, where one can listen to their music, connect with them, laugh at the memories and do what not. A whole of possibilities.

I bought the domain 2-3 weeks ago and totally forgot about this plan. Just remembered yesterday and put together something really quick, in like 2-3 hours.. Hosted it, and here it is. Don’t judge me on the design, yea? I’ll put a better one up once I get the time.

The main image on the page is a collage of pictures and memories I shot of the band in 2010, Some backstage memories and a lot of chutiyagiri. The logo lies in the center followed by a small description below the image. Then I’ve embedded the video of ‘Dum hai to aage aah’, pictures of the members and Social Media links.
This site is dedicated to everyone who supported me in what I did, liked the images I shot, and made sandwiches. ( you get it, yea? =D ) I’m limited to just tagging 30 people here. So if you’re not tagged, just abuse me on my wall. I plan to make this site a little more jhakaas once I get the time. Add image galleries, better SEO, contact sheet, give free wallpaper downloads and if the band likes this, expect more stuff. I hope I haven’t offended anyone or broken the norms in terms of copyrights or anything of that sort. Everything on this page is created by me, except the video.

This is a gift for all the wowsomeness.

On the same note, I would like to wish the Band, and all the other bands too.. Tough On tobacco, Demonic Resurrection, Spilt, Ankur Tewari, all of them .. the very best at the JD Rock Awards !

Special Thumbs up to the Demonstealer for all the Hard Work and efforts.

Support the scene. The Artists and Bands spend a lot of money and work really hard to put together Music. The least you could do is support the band by buying Albums and Merchandise. One of the only ways to spread the love. Respect intellectual property. Buy us beer.

I’m offering the main image of the page as a free wallpaper download.

Show your Mom how much you love Scribe. And if you like the images, you could order a Customized Calendar. I could start the year from February for you!
